Although the Body of Christ has been considerably vocal in protesting abortion, proportionately speaking, little has been done to provide practical alternatives for women experiencing the crisis of an unplanned pregnancy. A crisis pregnancy brings feelings of being lost, alone and without options. A woman in a crisis pregnancy feels hopeless and those same feelings can be passed on to her baby. Many of these women become homeless, with little or no life skills, self worth, value of a life, or hope of anything better. Unfortunately, many choose to end the pregnancy.

The Lighthouse Acres Ministry philosophy is holistic in nature. In order to break the chain of generational poverty and hopelessness, every level of the resident’s hierarchy of needs must be addressed. Therefore, strategies will be implemented to do so through our biblically based program. However, we realize that we cannot meet the needs of our mama's without the support of our community and many ministry partners.

Lighthouse Acres Ministries, LLC is a non-denominational Christian organization that seeks to compassionately support any woman who is experiencing a crisis pregnancy. They will do this by encouraging positive decision making while discussing all of her options, providing supportive services, education and resources, as well as, (eventually) housing support. Our immediate need is to be able to provide supported services. These include, post abortive care, postpartum depression care, trauma informed care, and practical needs for mom and baby.
